Course Learning Objectives/Outcomes

By the end of the course, the Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, Social Worker or Psychologist will be able to:
-Explain the Alaska Native People.
-Explain what does the Ahtna teach their children to prevent confrontation or disharmony.
-Explain where do Eyak people live.
-Explain the motive of the government for the Native Allotment Act.
-Explain what does the term "subsistence" refer to.
-Explain the purpose of Alaska Native Health Board (ANHB).
-Explain the Departmental regulations, rulemaking, policy, guidance, legislative proposal, grant funding, formula changes, or operational activity that may have a substantial direct effect on an Indian Tribe, including but not limited to.
-Explain the purpose of "TERO" Tribal Employment Rights Opportunity.
-Explain the General Preparation Guidance for Visiting or Working in Rural Alaska.
-Explain the Departmental Manuals about Sacred Sites.
-Explain cultural customs.
